I was at a Folk club a few years ago and two ladies came up to me to tell me there life story of how they had both been in the land Army in the war , working on farms and how hard there life had been. They then went on to tell about how they had found the Folk scene late in life and invested in a camper van travelling constantly between Folk Festivals at the age of 80 plus. Their experience in the war had taught them mechanics and all sorts of other skills that were invaluable in this later part of their life . I just thought this story and their love of music needed to be recorded and catalogued as a fantastic example of how you are never too old , and its never too late to change your whole life.

I was down in the basement 
counting up the leaves 
that gathered in the autumn storms 
Easy on the breeze
and somewhere in a box in a corner 
' hind the broom 
was a faded black white 
illuminating half  the room
